Information & Resources
We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. PREVENT
AT NPAT we want to support our children and families from being drawn into terrorism, becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism or extremism in any form or guise. As a Trust, there is no place for extremist views of any kind whether from internal sources; pupils, staff or governors or external sources' school community, external agencies or individuals. We recognise that extremism and exposure to extremist materials and influences can lead to poor outcomes for children. PREVENT is the prevention of children falling prey to radicalisation or extremism, and forms part of our Safeguarding Children approach.
Our pupils and staff should see our schools as a safe space to explore issues safely and our teachers encourage and facilitate this to happen through their Personal, Social, Health, Education and wider curriculum.
The Trust aims to minimise the risk and prevent them from being drawn in. We ensure that all staff are PREVENT trained and are aware of the signs and indicators of radicalisation and extremist behaviours. We work closely with the police and other agencies where any concerns are raised. For support or advice please contact the NPAT offices on 07741 654181 or via email at info@npatschools.org.
